  1. I agree with your general thrust, although I did note that some speakers (who tended to be on the “factory” side of the “playground-factory” fence, did acknowledge the broader social relations in which digital engagements take place.

    What an interesting post about play and productivity in a capitalist society. I wonder how to shift the focus from the mode of communication to the content of communication in sociology? The dominance of macro sociology might make this challenging.
